G4TV Is Officially Dead | Congrats Team G4 For Over 10+ Years Of Domination | We’ll Miss You All !!

The final episodes of X-Play & Attack of the Show officially aired on January 23rd, 2012.  We’d like to give a special thanks to everyone who helped create one of the most creative, fun-loving and unusual TV channels to have ever lived.  A little less than three months ago on October 26th 2012: G4-TV, NBC Universal & Current Owner of Esquire Magazine, announced most-all of their original shows would cease to exist by the end of the calendar year.

The new group of co-owners made some controversial & risky business decisions.  For most of us, it was a decision that we do not agree with.  Unfortunately the newly acquired gamer friendly “nerd” channel is now officially dead.  Will we ever see anything like it again?  For the majority of us, any type of major change usually causes some sort of initial fear.  That was certainly the case for most fans when G4-TV decided to ditch their original image in attempt to transition towards a more gender neutral balanced audience.  For now, it sounds like the new channel is gearing up for more travel, food and around the house type shows instead of the usual programs that provided us with insight into new technology, new video games and perhaps most importantly; The comic-book characters themselves and all their gigantic block-buster movies that came with them.

The abrupt decision comes as a shock and major disappointment among both the “jocks” & the “nerds”.  Over the last decade plus, G4-TV did a great job of engaging with their fans & creating a truly one-of-a-kind television experience.

We thank all the wonderful and hard-working cast members such as: Candace Bailey, Jessica Chobot, Kevin Periera, Adam Sessler, Chris Hardwick, Sara Underwood, Olivia, Munn &  Morgan Webb just to name a few.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed that some of you G4-TV rock-stars will collaborate in the near future to resurrect a brand new T.V. channel for all the die-hard old school fans. Thanks in advance and we look forward to seeing what you guys might have up your sleeve!
